Simplified Economics

Fundamental knowledge to run a sustainable economy

In every negotiation or trade transaction there are 3 elements - Value – Wealth – Power.

These 3 elements (domains) masquerade as one another in much the same way as a word may be either – subject – object – verb in a sentence. Generally speaking Value is the subject of a transaction, Wealth is the object, and Power is the verb (force) that drives the bargain.

To identify the different elements in a transaction one must ask – who gets what? -… Continue

Inaugural Address

Our energy supply is about to decline permanently because we've been holding a huge bonfire for 40 years burning it up, and now Canadians and Americans are going to re-learn the values that made these great countries – sacrifice, service to their communities, upholding fundamental values of thrift and common sense.

A war is upon us and there is only the home front – so on the home front we are going to plant victory gardens, and learn to fix what breaks and buy things used. We are no longer goi… Continue

A Capital Project

Background.

Ottawa is the capital of Canada and should set an example for the rest of the world. The residents are presently bickering over what to do with the last little bit of green left in the city and the 18,000 acres of abandoned farm land that comprises a greenbelt around the old city that has outgrown its boundaries.

The Ottawa Sustainable Community Association represents Canadians concerned about the environmental sustainability of our Canadian cities. We think that with the im… Continue

free Environmental Education

All cities import food, water, energy, raw material and/or retail products. The total area of land, sea and air required to provide this external source of supply is the city's “environmental footprint”, which because of the marvels of trade and transport can be spread over the entire world. As cities grow their “footprints” also grow until the “footprints” of all cities start to overlap. At that point, the support environment begins to fail and we start to run out of things like cod, swordfish,… Continue

The Sustainable Community

The Ottawa Sustainable Community Association hopes to initiate a template project that could be fundamentally replicated by any community and superimposed on existing infrastructure. The intent of this management structure is to promote sustainability, control runaway capitalism, limit corporate dominance of a community and streamline municipal management. Benefits from this business will be paid out predominately as benefits to the community.

Our project will be incorporated under the Ontario… Continue

Management Principles for a Sustainable Community

1.Equal ownership of community assets for all residents (employees). Everyone in reality owns the streets, public buildings and tourist attractions.

2.Individual income (salary) of each resident (employee) is a share of net community profits negotiated annually and paid bi-weekly over the following 12 months.

3.All employment by the community (corporation) is contractual with incumbents hired and re-assigned by general vote (BOLD – Basic On Line Democracy).

The intention of the above principl… Continue

My Kind of City

'My City' is a city of communities, each of which is relatively self sufficient. Most food is grown locally and waste is disposed of or recycled close to source. Most people work within convenient walking distance from their homes and there is efficient and clean public rail transport. All buildings have been upgraded for energy conservation and efficiency and alternate energy systems (not fossil fuel) have been installed, so that in the event of a national power failure (energy shortage) all ho… Continue

Environmental Warriors Power Up! Save Planet Helios! Free Interactive Online Multi Player Game!

Our youth spend a great deal of time gaming and watching television. What is important is that we provide them some guidance and encourage them to engage themselves in gaming and watching programs that will prepare them for the challenges their generation is facing. President Obama is pushing very hard to create what is described as green jobs. What is important to our inner city is that these green jobs provide a pathway out of poverty and the vicious unemployment cycle. Our youth… Continue

Act I: The People’s Cyber Enquire - Inquiring Minds Want to Know

Questions are raised on the internet and spread like a viral epidemic –

Query: Who has the real power? The US Government or the American People, the banks or Wall Street - Investment Bankers and their minions?

The people begin demanding a bailout of themselves; and their cities, towns and villages; mayors are demanding the governors stop being ‘the gate keepers’ of FederalContinue
